Once There Was A Boy is a trilogy of children's books from the work of Oliver Jeffers.
Of the three books there is How To Catch A Star, The Way Back Home and Lost & Found; the latter of which was animated into a short film by the work of Studio AKA back in 2009.
This work means a lot to me as it was the first project I did since graduating from University back in 2014 that I really connected with.
Since the work I did back then, I decided to revamp it using the same assets and textures from so long ago. I did improve edge flow and add in more details to the models, but for the most part, it was building new scenes of this fan art that I fell in love with so long ago.
Below is some of the original work I did for this project back in 2014; except this was all rendered in Mental Ray.
